Nice spot, dirt/gravel place where cars can stop and lot of traffic. Close to onramp to various directions (west, north, south) it was raining and we were cold so we agreed to get driven to Pirmasens (direction France) where we found shelter in a church―Stokars

a lot of cars going north or south, but very rare to park. maybe better to take "Landau Süd" and stand there. There is a gas station in "Weißenburger Str." that could be a better spot.―Anonymous

I spent an hour and a half asking around at the gas station nearby trying to get onto A65 in the northern direction, but everyone was either on the way to the city or going south. Then decided to try this spot, which is right after the bakery with a sign that said "Neustadt" and got a lift within 15 minutes.Sunday - late morning
